we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imaginedand/or real - come along with me -we'll danceamong the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire -come along -
this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format - poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -
A...WOMAN
IN MOTION
WITH HAIR
AS DARK AS NIGHT
HER EYES
WERE LIKE THAT OF
A CAT
IN THE DARK...
SHE WAS A
GYPSYWOMAN...
she danced
round and round...
from the fire
her face was all aglow...
she was dancing...
dancing...
waiting for
the RISING SUN...
loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary...
born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]
OMG, Study of a Woman in Red! I tried my hand at painting this Henner several years back. It now sits in my basement along with all my other paintings. Poor things. I do have a few smaller ones out on our walls, but the larger ones just sit waiting. Great words to capture her expression. I was drawn to this painting myself based on her look. Maybe I will bring the old girl out and find a wall space for her. Thanks for the reminder!
i seem to have had red on my mind a lot of late - and i love this one of henners - there is something about her expression - her spirit - that draws me too - and you know, she reminds me of you, especially your profile pic - so get out your girl in red and give her the red she deserves!!! ;)
be sure and run over to words unsaid, if you've the time!

Well, dear Jenean, I will never know you. Those are so powerful, and so possibly true. And even then, I could interpret them almost as I wish...
There are always tears in a heart. Do you think that a heart without tears would really be a heart? Life's beauty, if there is such a thing, is all about loving, laughing... and suffering.
How beautifully your choice of image works with your very quiet, very serene words. It is like this lady is pulling those words out of her heart for us to see, while she sits silently. Just lovely!
#1 roger - thanks for warning - yes, i hate them, too - thought i'd gotten rid of them by re-doing my comment verification - geezzzeeee...thanks again!
and dear roger - you know, i sometimes simply cannot respond to your comments - but i will say that these words are true - in the most literal sense - and of tears in one's heart - yes, but all too rarely is another able to understand that, let alone be willing to capture the tears, along with all the love -
yes, susan, these are lovely words and i say that humbly since i am their creator - although it is to the heart of another that i owe my gratitude for it was that heart that whispered them to me -
my dear marlene! i've missed seeing you here so much! it's wonderful to have you here again - your presence adds such brightness and love!!! thank you!
dear deboshree - and that is how i feel about you - so very lucky to have found you here - isn't it wonderful the connections that are possible with the click of a little key! i think that one can only touch the hearts of those who also touch one's own heart! as you do! thank you for always being here!
you know, nevine, this is another prime example of how an image literally "speaks" to me - literally - i mean, when i sat and looked at her, it was she who showed me the way - who did in the truest sense pull those words from her own heart for us all -
you see it, too!
thank you so much for your comments which mean so much to me!
oh, hi rick! gee, i was just talking about you over at another blog [dulce's] - anyway, well, thank you very much - and enjoy while you can, cause, as you may have noticed, brevity is not one of my virtues!! ;) thanks so much for dropping by, wayfarer!
and hello stacey! wow! really so so nice to see you over this way - and listen, i know all about time and schedules and not having enough hours in the day - so i'm even happier that you took the time to drop by - thank you, dear lady!
oh, hello trevor - i've been wondering of you! so glad to see you over this way! hope your days are warmer and kinder there than here - white swirls of snow and ice for days now! and cold....
For me this is great poetry. Just these brief texts require the high art of the author and that your words go with me into the shadows of my heart. What verses - I am absolutely delighted, so much feeling. You have a great talent, a wonderful gift for your rich feeling clothed in magical words. I love this text!
I am sooo thankful to have met you! And I'm glad to know that I touch your heart in some way 'coz you most certainly touch mine! I have found such wonderful people through the world of blogging and I'm so glad that I decided to write!

Dear Jenean:
The woman in the picture has a certain sadness to her. As Gauthier remarked: "There are always tears in a heart."
LOvely words to ponder and begin the day.
Joy always dear one.
Susan
Lovely words Jenean!
So beautiful, so poignant.
Love it, Jenean. You have the capacity to touch our hearts and become a part of it. I'm so thankful to have found you.
Love you
