little bird
little bird
how do you chirp
far too captured
too enraptured
to wander forth
to flee the door
to close the door
little bird
to close the door
little bird
little bird
how do you chirp
far too captured
too enraptured
to wander forth
to fly to soar
to fly to soar
to love and more
life untried
locked inside
the dreams you make
the dreams
no one can take...
.
would you like to hear the words spoken?

This reminded me of a canary I had and loved very much...he's gone now...but I didn't like keeping him caged. When he died I felt relieved for him and felt he was free at last. At the time I bought him I wasn't thinking of him..only the pleasure I would get from his beautiful singing. I was rather selfish then.
Thanks for the reminder to myself here of how much I've evolved.
And thank you for a beautiful poem.
what a beautiful story of your canary! i know what you mean about keeping a little precious critter caged - i felt the same way about a little finch that my son gave me for xmas many many moons ago - i think of him, too - odd how we can learn so much from one so tiny, isn't it?
Let your soul always be free as a bird. I love this Gypsy. What a great treat to hear your voice! I do hear that charming southern accent! Just lovely dear lady, so glad you fixed the sound problem.
Soooo beautiful. One thing for sure, our dreams are our own, no one can take them from us. I think I would not survive without my dreams, they give me freedom from reality. Just love hearing your beautiful voice. As I posted on my blog, "it's a done deal, we are sisters". :)
to be free to be free - and, you know, freedom exists within - our own hearts! wonderful to see you, cole! glad you like the audio!
for sure, six, for sure, sisters in this realm!!! ;)
So lovely, and it reminds me of a bird I once had that I let fly all over my apartment until it met with the neighbors cat. :-(
