she no longer had thoughts of her own
her own mind to her now unknown
the air she breathed no longer the same
her lungs inhaling particles of shame
light and darkness no longer distinguishable
her eyes blinded to all but the holy crucible
days became nights and nights became nights without end
no longer could she pretend
she no longer had thoughts of her own

Beautiful thoughts..you play on my senses beautifully Gypsy..i enjoy reading you! thank you for stopping by at my sanctuary..tight hugs darling xoxo
your kind words humble me so glynis - 'tis the words themselves to whom the honor is owed - they speak to me on their own and i am only the instrument of their voice - but i thank you - and am so pleased you like -
desert rose - i think we both play each to the other's senses - you with your magnificent words certainly do mine - that is one of the most wonderful things of blogland, isn't it - the connections made that otherwise would never become - i am thrilled to have found such a kindred spirit as you - hugs back lovely rose -
You're amazing. Our words are pitch perfect, again. And this image is so intriguing.
There is a feeling of sadness and longing in this poem but it's wonderful!
Very touching and soulful words as always. I love the painting as well. Is this one of your works?
So good to see you at my place and thank you gypsy woman for leaving a kind comment.
Sweet greetings,
Jo. x:-)
oh, thank you for your kind words, trish - and a picasso image - what could be more perfect than that - she seemed to me to be in spirit-pain-discovery, rather than merely "washing her hair" as picasso intended! :)
oh, my dear jo - would that it were my own painting - but i must give all homage to the magnificent picasso - although my style is often influenced by his - but i am humbled at even the thought so i thank you! ;)
and thank you for your observations of my own words - it's always such fun visiting your intriguing place and i miss not being over more often! wonderful to see you over here!!! have a great day!!!
