darkness
came upon her
surrounded her
wrapped her
in its blanket of night
but still sleep
eluded her
evaded her
very soul
her heart racing
through thoughts of him
so far away
eyes closed
succumbed to
the darkness within
held softly in
the arms of
his own dreams
of her
came upon her
surrounded her
wrapped her
in its blanket of night
but still sleep
eluded her
evaded her
very soul
her heart racing
through thoughts of him
so far away
eyes closed
succumbed to
the darkness within
held softly in
the arms of
his own dreams
of her

there's something very compelling about the way the photo up top lays above the words, as if she's falling or gliding away...hmmm, this is as always, sad, this yearning that always seems there, so often unabated, i begin to actually think "she" must be getting damned sick of this yearning stuff... :)
anyway, i am gently kidding you, sweets, hoping you are well...this is lovely, as always and very moving....you have been working on your blogs it seems...they are looking wonderful!
xx
To love deeply, intensely, fully; to be loved in return deeply, intensely, fully; yet to be shackled, both, by a trick of Fate in responsibiltiy to others, creates a sense of yearning, of loss, unlike any other. We must know, somewhere in our soul of souls, that there will be a Time and a Place when we will be Together again with the ultimate freedom to express that Love unimpeded, and it is that KNOWING, that Promise of another Time and Place, which keeps us intact. cj
I'm just so glad you're back in blogland. As always, this whole post is tremendously moving. Just beautiful.
oh, dear linda, i'm not sure that "she" will ever tire of the unending love she has for him and him for her - or of the yearning which is the only thing to which she can now lay claim - yes, a bit of work on the blogs - love the new format and am so happy you like - i especially like the larger space for the posts - so wonderful to have you drop by lady - do come again soon and have a glorious day!
my dear cousin - i could not say it better should i try - and so i shall not - you said it - and said it all - hugs -
and i'm so happy to be back here, trish, here with my fabulous friends who have touched my life in so many ways - ;)
