we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

pieces - and persistence - of time...

Just after midnight and just after noon on July, 8th, it will be.... 12:34:56 7/8/9 -

this little bit of trivia brings up the whole issue of TIME - something with which i believe far too many of us are connected or dependent - TIME is one of those things in our daily lives about which we can do nothing - absolutely nothing - it goes on - it continues - and continues - i mean, we can't stop it - we can't move it forward - we are unable to make it stand still - [well, the majority of us, anyway- yet, that is!] -

many many moons ago, i decided that i did not wish to be tied to the inherent constraints involved with TIME - i didn't wish to be constantly bombarded with clocks, watches, and other reminders that TIME was ticktocking away - aside from the fact that we are every day bombarded by visual and audio reminders of TIME - there is a clock on microwave ovens, clocks are installed on bose music systems, time is imbedded into televisions, car music systems, the fronts of buildings, on street corners -

TIME LURKS EVERYWHERE -

so, at the age of 16, i gave away the wrist watch i'd been given for my birthday and i've not bought a clock since - now, it is true that i have always been able to awaken from sleep at a precise moment - before i go to sleep, all i have to do is just tell myself at what precise time i want to awaken for the day and i do - to the minute - it's just something that i've always been able to do, so even an alarm clock is not anything i've ever needed or owned - if i need or want to know the precise time otherwise, there are already in place in today's world more than enough "time-pieces" i can check - and so, on the faces of all the electrical pieces around my house, i place black electrical tape to cover the digitally glowing face of the clock on each one - my cellular phone totally suffices for the correct time of day or night - and it isn't staring at me everywhere i go -

for me, TIME is a STATE OF MIND, just as is AGE, or SEXINESS or BEAUTY - well, i see it's TIME for me to quit this little trivial triviality post and perhaps come up with something a bit more intellectually stimulating - hmmmm....
