we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

special request for addresses - real communication in 2011...

greetings, dear friends -  for those who have not already received this message from me via email today, just this morning, one of my dear blogging friends in ireland [thank you, map] posted a request for his BFs' home addresses so that he might send each of us a xmas card this year - it seems that in ireland, one does not send out xmas cards in the year in which a family member has passed on, as he had this past year - so, for this year, he wanted to send as many as possible - the whole thing of holiday cards took me right down memory lane to all the wonderful cards i received all my life, until the virtual world made such handwritten cards almost obsolete -

and so it is that i thought what a wonderful thing it would be for the NEW YEAR of 2011 - to send each of you a "real" card to your "real" home in the "real" world - hence, my request for your "real" address so that i might let you know i'm thinking of you with the new year!

keep findin’ myself way down here
way down here under all that fear
way down here with no one near

don’t really know what it’s gonna take
just hope it comes quick for my heart’s sake

to peace and love ...

I am poor and naked but I am the chief of a nation.
We do not want riches but we do want to train our children right.
Riches would do us no good.
We could not take them with us to the other world.
We do not want riches.
We want peace and love.

life is...

 What is life?
It is the flash of a firefly in the night -
It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime -
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass
and loses itself in the sunset -

this week in homage to the true natives of this country...

- it seems only fitting that this week should be devoted to those
who are the true natives of this country -
- so each day will have an offering
of and about our native brothers and sisters -

peace and love

to tell the story of your life...

you have to begin
to tell the story of your life
as you now want it to be

and discontinue the tales of
how it has been or
of how it is

words to live by -

i love my past -
i love my present -
i am not ashamed
of what i have had, and
i am not sad because
i no longer have it -

and then i dreamed and knew...

i’d been wondering
what it was
that i wanted to be
then i dreamed
and knew
i am
what it is
that i want to be

to go away...

I am going away with him
to an unknown country
where I shall have
no past and no name,
and where
I shall be born again
with a new face
and an untried heart.

comin' home...

wandering
roaming
wondering pondering plundering
lost and alone
faded and fallen
disowned unknown
yearning longing craving
not yet known
not yet found
gone but never had
absent barren nonexistent
wanting needing waiting
missing something
missing me
missing you
missing us
wanting needing waiting
seeking searching
the foggy roads
the crooked paths
the raging rivers
the mist the miles
by love’s grace
all led but one place
toward my fate
one look
and
i was found
one touch
and
i belonged
one kiss
and
i was home
