we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

i am called woman...

i am called woman

i am all that you see

and so much more
three in one all compiled

i am the wee girl child
choosing you from before
to carry me then set me free

i am the lover banshee
quenching desire from every shore
leaving all who linger more beguiled

i am the earth mother styled
to hold you to love you then have you soar
to be the wee girl child the lover banshee the all of me

i am called woman

Right, too bad we, men, often forget this.

thank you marius - very much!
some years ago i wrote a poem on the relationship of mothers with their sons - and how crucial it is for us as women and mothers to be the same loving supportive force for our male children as for our daughters - it came about in direct response to a very difficult time my only son was having with his ex-wife and being able to see his children - in any event, i've had it on my mind of late but am unable to find the only copy i had - much to my disappointment - perhaps i need to re-do that one now -

thanks again for dropping by - can't tell you how much i enjoy your work - have a great evening!

I LOVE THIS! It made my heart sing...I love being a woman and I love how we as women are finally coming together...we've been apart too long...

thank you so much stacey - and words such as yours make my heart sing - you know, back in the 70's i thought that at last women were coming together and i think that we did in many ways but i have not seen the holding on of that up to today as i had imagined i would way back then - but as long as there are a few questioning answering thinking being then there will be more - and i think also that we as women not only have been away from ourSELVES and each OTHER but from our male counterparts, as well - sorry, i digress into my daydreams - thanks again for coming by as your notes are always a bright spot - have a wonderful afternoon!

Hi,
I have just found your lovely blog through Gingeyginge's site!
Klimt is one of my favourite artists.
You have written very special words that complements his painting well.
Can I put your blog on my Creative site list?
I'm now following you!:)
Best wishes Jo.

greetings, jo - well, thank you so much for such a kind note - i'm so glad that you have found my site, but particularly happy to have you follow along here - since you mention my poem here, you might also like my "on words unspoken" blog where i now use my own words exclusively - another blog of mine "travel journal" deals with things metaphysical while my "dream journal" is just that - a look at the dream world in ourselves, in others, in literature and art, etc - and then, the yaya tree is a historical journey of my family - in any event, i'll be over to check out your place before the day is up - and thanks again for following along here - and do feel free to put my blog on your site list - have a wonderful day - namaste' - jenean

That is magnificent. I loved it. I love women. I don't know how us men would survive without you.

you, my dear, are a lovely spirit indeed. Always a pleasant surprise when happenstance gently sets me in the path of another gypsy. Your writing is...extraordinary. I found you on Nevine's page...I find that I'm discovering some kindred spirits since I started my blog. I will be back, and often. Thank you for sharing yourself with us, GYPSYWOMAN
Much Love,
