we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

LOVE your evening for her, trish! wow! can't beat that! beautiful!

disappointment, her lover has picked another...

i think you may win the prize, nevine! for me, that's certainly what she seems to be doing at the moment, although perhaps it is just my own mortal wanton ways that perceive that - while a much nobler scene awaits her at the macgregor comment above!

:)

very close, i think, stacey - i see you and nevine and i all share similar stories! :)

stacey - by the way, i can't remember if you've been over to my "on words unsaid" blog? it's dedicated to matters of the heart, so to speak - you might enjoy dropping by there sometime -

I dare not comment. Such a beautiful woman. Such sorrow, so many little miseries.

I dare not go near.

but sir, perhaps if you venture near this beautiful woman with so much sorrow and so many little miseries, such a bountiful presence as yours might truly be the balm of gilead for this fair lady! just think of it! the rewards for such a grand gesture of selflessness as yours!

A thousand emotions gushing within but not one has the strength to show itself outside.

She needs someone to listen.

she looks like a warrior goddess
stopping to remember a past love!

Hi Gypsywoman,
This is a very beautiful painting... I think this lady has lost all her belongings and the people she loved, in her life... She has a sad longing look on her face. I think the silver plate represents the wealth and the rich life she once had...
Lovely to see you again.

hi susan deborah - well, another lovely story to our lady - i think you must be right about the emotions - although the gypsy i know has never been bashful about letting her emotions show!:)
thanks so much! have a wonderful day!

oh, marlene, i'm LOVIN' the warrior goddess already! course, i've always considered myself immortal! but she does have that "air" about her, doesn't she?

GYPSYWOMAN said...

jo, your story for her also rings true! very very true! quite in the literal sense! wonderful that you could see that -

She is looking down upon someone with pity and contempt.
Maybe he had overstepped the mark and was pleading for forgiveness.

i think she is a dancer, for men, and she is tired of it, waiting on men, dancing for me, being with men, losing her power to men and she seeks it in the fire, in the light she is gazing into and it almost lights her eyes....but not quite enough...

Sadness, still hope. The end of loving, still affection. Offering of food. Warm body and quiet look. Attention, though intention to go.

Women are hard to understand, aren`t they?

GYPSYWOMAN said...

oh, very very deep, dear linda! and very very accurate i think! it is said that there is someone for everyone - i believe that to be true - however, the test for me in this life is to find that person who is also in the same place as me - ah, but the gods have their way with us in the ways of the heart!

and your story for our gypsy, marius, very complex, as well - and poignant - you are quite right, still hope - i can see how it might be perceived that women are difficult to understand, but i have always thought myself to be crystal clear in my standing on all things - including matters of the heart - perhaps it is that the woman is most difficult for herself to understand, as with men, perhaps? i admit i do not know - but - yes, always hope, no matter what else!
