we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

The eyes, the eyes, the eyes... smiling, but filled with stories.

the photo in the top left is of a little gypsygirl taken at the turn of the century - the other two, more recent ones, are of me many years ago - ever since i found the little gypsygirl who is actually in a caravan selling flowers, i couldn't get her out of my mind - i thought she looked like some of my photos when i was her age - just wasn't sure but wanted to see what others think - thanks so much for letting me know what YOU see!!!

Love the comparison! Bone structure, eyes, smiles could easily be the same girl in all pictures.
Happy Halloween!

oh, hello therese - so good to see you again - thanks for coming by here and leaving a comment - i'm a bit behind on browsing myself, so please forgive! and thanks again!

Uh-oh. It's you. You found your past self. Or one of them,at any rate.

ok, so it really isn't just me? ever since i found the little gypsy flower girl, i've thought of how she reminded me of me at her age! and today i couldn't stop till i found some old pics of me to compare - there really is a similarity, isn't there!

Le sourire, la forme du visage, les yeux. L'espièglerie toute prête à se transformer en femme fatale.

Voilà.

It's a matter of love, what? And then it's best said in French, as always.

But I would have bet that she did not look like you at all when she got older. How could she? :-)

The hair, the nose, the forehead and the lips.
I have seen so many people and have thought: "Hey she looks like me."
We all are made of similar stuff!!!

i've just added the littly gypsy girl selling her flowers in the original photo which seems to have been taken around the late 1800's perhaps - in any event, thanks so much to all of you for a little something different and i hope, fun!

yes, marlene - you got it! it's just that this little girl kept "gnawing" at my mind, you know? couldn't get rid of the image so i decided to just put her - and me - out there! thanks for coming by, lady!

What we see is what we are. Therefore, we have to see beyond substance.

If your heart say yes, who is your mind to deny it?
