we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the autumnal sacrifice...

and so it is
the cycle reclaims
its past and future
repeating reduplicating recapitulating
the fallen heroes submit
in crimson veneration
rendering resigning reconciling
their mother trunk
deprived once more

robbed raped ravaged
with barren branches
limbs and stems

requiem reposes remains
defoliation complete
at autumnal equinox

regrowth renewed rebirth
and so it grows

what a stunner you are, my dear gypsy jenean....lovely absolutely as is this, in the little tiniest of time i have known you i think i have seen your writing come to a point of fusion you might be happy with, it seems to say more to me more succinctly just now....as always, it's brilliantly personal and just plain brilliant all at the same time and this painting is very stirring

have missed my visits over at your cauldron for a cuppa...

A very beautiful piece about life in general. But what really stands out for me is your alliterative use of the highlighted words beginning with "r". Those words hold the true meaning of this piece together. They are the truth of what it is to live, to die, to be reborn and begin the cycle all over again. Very real, but with the spiritual between the lines and hovering around!

thank you so much nevine - for your thoughts and your words which do much to make my day brighter - you know, when i started this little piece, it was going to be just a little short quirp on color change in nature, etc, with autumn coming - but even the image that i had chosen changed after i began - again, thanks so much for your words!

oh, hey spiritsister janine! wonderful to see you out and about over here - it's a gorgeous fall day in delaware - the sun is out - lawns are being mowed - windows are open - just beautiful - and thank you so much for your sweet words which, as usual, more than make my day! about the header photo, i wasn't too sure about the whole vanity aspect here, you know, but then, i poo-pooed the idea and said why not!!! and so i did! i'll be heading over to your place asap - hope you're all SMILES, dear!!!

I fear that you will want to annihilate me, sweet Jenean. but then I can't help it. Those are probably spruce of fir trees, maybe pine trees but I doubt it. And my free self does not like the symmetry of this industrial forest.

No shrubs, no fallen trees, no fallen heroes! my wild nature rebels.

Where are the deers, where are the moose? They are dead, nothing there for survival, nothing to eat, nothing at all! A man-made so-called forest...

But I love your text oh so much much much. Let me think... I think I have something in my archives. If I am right, I will put it on my blog. Specially for you.

Sometimes I'm so down-to-earth that I despair of myself. :-)

Roger G., very contrite (do you believe that?)

dear contrite roger - you're quite right about the barren industrial forest look here - the beauty of it, to me, is that all life is cyclic - literally and figuratively - the beauty of rebirth - new life - again, it's all about perspective - but of course our own individual lives at any given moment may alter our individual perspective - try reading just the earth colored words alone - then the words of the verse - but most importantly, the last four words - those say it all!

as always, your thoughts and words mean so much - and i look forward to your little something from the archives! :)

have a wonderful remainder of the evening -
