we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

There is nothing more magical and vibrant, than a woman who is in touch with her female energy and passion.

Yes you are all mysterious and magical.

GYPSYWOMAN said...

well, i agree, marlene - a world of snow white purity on the ground and life itself seems purer and prettier and better somehow! long as i have a big woodburning fireplace, lots of hot chocolate lined up with big squshy marshmallows, a book or two, my bose music, some candles, couple of bottles of wine, some cheese and crackers and, hmmmmm.....a big strappin' man to sing to me, to pour my cocoa, listen to the wood crackling.....yummmm, yes, i could go for a big snow!!! :)

oh, thank you trevor - thank you very much! it's really great to have you come by and leave a little note! makes my day!

GYPSYWOMAN said...

oh, and just one little thing i'd like to add - and that is, that while this post has been about feminine magic from a female perspective, i personally appreciate, more than a little bit, that all inspiring dynamite magic of the male species, that sometimes elusive, but always enticing, male mystique!

Woman and magic...with a little red and some music...watch out! As a woman I have enjoyed my magic making even now in my last years!!

GYPSYWOMAN said...

hey lady! so good to see you! oh, yeah! a little red and lots of music or the other way around! spread the magic!!

That snowy night sounds wonderful..in front of a fire..with wine and a favorite beau....I also would have him go on a romantic moonlight ride in the snowy countryside on our favorite horse..:-)

GYPSYWOMAN said...

you're absolutely right on about the horseback ride!!! how could i have forgotten that!!! thanks!

Sayujya said...

sometimes the magic isn't in what you are, but what you become when you dance. A tune, and a rhythm can absolutely change what goes on inside of you, and that is more the magic of dance than the magic of the self. And sometimes, the magic is in being swept off your feet....

GYPSYWOMAN said...

you know, sayujya, that is so very true and i am glad you brought up that very thing! i like to think it is a combination of the two - thank you very much for coming by and i hope you will visit again - and soon! namaste' -

There`s magic everywhere....

GYPSYWOMAN said...

i totally agree, marius! which is why i made my comment about including all the wonderful magical male mastique above! :)

and - i believe there is also magic in every other thing as well - it's all, all, all magical - and thank you for reminding us of its presence EVERYWHERE!

i'm so happy to see you here, marius! you've been missed!

Just noticed you following my friend "Sweeter Dulce"...poet. An so i am looking back a few posts on "gypsy".

You write there is magic everywhere--or something like that. I believe there is love also everywhere--in every blade of grass, in every seed of weed, in every petal of flower, in every drop of rain, every snowflake...every human!

Maybe I am wrongly identifying your "magic" with my "love"...but your posts say a lot. Thank you.

I was not going to comment...then I spotted the universal namaste' on your comment on your own post.
