we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the blessed ball...

floating free floating high
in the dark night sky
rising in its own time
pure perfection at its prime
casting sparkling slivers
upon the black waters quiver
the golden globe the blessed ball
does surely all enthrall

well, keep on keepin' on, sweet jenean♥

PERFECT! That is exactly how I see the moon, that eternally shining, cool silver disc that effects me so. Loved this.;)
Thank you so much for your always kind words at my place,

Lovely yet again!

I wonder where you get such wonderful ideas from. I know you have a secret pool hidden somewhere in your mind from where you get these beautiful words..

Beautiful (My words seem to be exactly the same whenever I comment on your blog! hehe)

Lots of love
Deboshree

oh, ladylinda! thank you so much for leaving your vineyard and running over here! you have so much going on, i'm always honored that you come by here at all! thanks again, lady!

zuzana, i know what you mean - feel the same way!!!

deboshree - you are so sweet! thank you! actually, no secret pool anywhere - just every once in a while i hear a word or see an image and it reminds me of something and then a thought forms - and it goes from there! that's all! see, like your phrase "i know you have a secret pool hidden somewhere in your mind from where you get these beautiful words" - just the words "secret pool hidden...in your mind..." and i've already "seen" a verse mentally - maybe something like: she had something no one else knew about - something that was just hers and hers alone - something that no one else could see - something she had to share with no other - her own little secret pool - a pool hidden away in the deepest recesses of her mind - a pool where she went to find herself, to be herself, to invent herself, even - a pool of dark aqua waters bathing away her cares, soothing her mind, easing her soul -

and so it goes -

:)

Lovely, lovely poem and picture...
I have only ever seen the moon this big once. Above a field, when I went for a moonlight walk...
I stood for ages moon gazing. It was quite hypnotic.
I suppose moons do effect me deeply, as I am a Cancer the crab. Moon child!!:)
What sign are you Gypsywoman?

hey jo! wow! what a beautiful story - so glad you told it as i'm a moon gazer too - there is something so magical mystical spiritual about being able to see so well another celestial body - and to wonder of its being - mesmerizing! i never cover the upper half of my bedroom windows just so i can "moon gaze" year round - however, i must say that on a full moon, i also do not sleep much at all - but i don't mind - it's never tiring -

oh, i'm a LEO -

oh, yes, stacey - the full moon this time as every time, magnificent! have a wonderful evening!

I'm glad to here you are a Leo... I love the children of the sun!!!
I find the fire signs very inspiring.
In my birth chart I have Venus in Leo, so I can get a bit fired up sometimes!:)
You probably have a Moon sign in your chart, if you like moon gazing.
Lovely to visit you again!
Jo,x:)

Strange
You went on writing
And beautifully
But I didn't know
Still hardly know
A strange world where your mind hardly functions
A world where your mind, in a way, floats and wanders
A world where your brain struggles for a comeback
A world your very soul knows you must quit
A world you know you never want to see again!

I did not know, Jenean, that I could be afraid of something. Well, I am, and your post brought the thought back. It hurts.

i SO know what you mean, marlene! although i am a pure SUN sign, sister luna has a major role in my life, as well - just something about her - a degree of familiarity - beautiful! have a gorgeous day, lady!

GYPSYWOMAN said...

hi jo! wonderful to hear from you again - we seem to have more and more in common! please come again soon and have a wonderful day!

GYPSYWOMAN said...

thanks, BCR! i see you're a nina fan, too! had to stop and listen to MY WAY over at your place! she's the best!!!

and roger - what can i say? my heart is so happy to see you up and about so to speak - but very very saddened by what happened to you - there are things i would like to say - to share - deep concerns for what happened and the how of it all - but i am hesitant for many reasons - the main thing for now will be that i am thrilled by your recovery - and more than grateful for your visit here!

and while it is true that i did continue to write a bit here and there, it is also true that your well-being was always my only thought, as it remains now, dear sir!

This full moon was in Gemini. The next full moon is a "blue moon" (second full moon in 1 month) and it's a Lunar ECLIPSE to boot on Dec 31. Should be an interesting new Year's!

hi, liz - yes, you're right! love love love it - the lunar life! thanks for reminding me of the eclipse! and thanks so much for dropping by! visiting your place is such a true joy!
