we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

licorice dreams...

i wonder of you
when you are not here
with me near me
when you are
not to be found
to be seen
i wonder of you
on those nights
in the darkness
of my own devices
when there is no
light seeping through
the blue black velvet
of my thoughts of you
no beacon of life
to show me the way
to help me till the light of day
no gentle caress upon my breast
no sheltering from the storm
of sleepless nights
without your cradling softness
i wonder of you
of where you are
with whom you share yourself
those nights
when you are not here
with me near me
when the blackness round
rushes into my dreams
like melted licorice sticks
smoldering there till
light of morn
i wonder of you
of where you are
if the other misses you
when you are here
as much as i miss you
when you are there
if she thinks of you
when you are here
as i think of you
when you are not
if her thoughts twist
into turmoil in your
absence as mine do
if her heart sings
in exaltation of your
presence as mine does
if her dreams
drift in waves
of blue velvet
when you are near
as mine do
i wonder of you
my
gypsy
king

I wonder of you, Lady Jenean...
I wonder of any woman who can write as beautifully, as dangerously I might say...
I would rather wonder of where a woman's thoughts are...
I know where my woman is
But do I know where my woman's mind is, who could say?

dear deb - yes - i think at some time or other we must all have wondered - must all do wonder - of such things - of those we love and are loved by in return - but then, there may be other loves in one's life, as well - [sigh.....]

thank you so much dear zuzana - your words mean a lot to me - have a glorious day!

and dear man from the cold - you should not wonder of me - i am that which you read - and that which you see - truly no mystery - but of the other, while i cannot say, i do understand - and wonder -

the glorious sun is out here, melting the foot of snow that came this weekend - and i am headed out and about in it all - to the pool for a while and then just driving down to the beach in the sunshine i think - hope you've a wonderful day!

I love this ménage à trois of thoughts, though they are all coming from one person. The almost analytical thinking process behind this piece is fascinating... it opens so many doors of the imagination. This piece, Jenean, is simply sublime!

and if not for him, I wonder what she would wonder of? I'm glad for him and these wonderings. ~rick

if not for him, perhaps she might be wondering of another? the other question: of whom does he wonder? if anyone?

thanks so much for dropping by, rick!

What should I say Jenean?
This is one of the times when I'm left speechless!
What words! What feeling! What emotion and what intensity! And all in one!
Wow Jenean..that's all I can say. You have captured all the thoughts of a lover and all the torment which comes from such loving.

Lovely. Simply lovely.

Much love
