we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

seeking stillness...

hmmmm...i've been at my computer now for quite a while and remain unable to find the thoughts or words for posting - for posting anything at all - my thoughts the past few days seem to be inundated with "movement and chaos" [as my travel journal post refers to yesterday] - and sadness -

and, needing desparately right now to find a state of "stillness" within, with which to counter the chaos,  i think i have to be away for just a day or two - so, i'm headed to that inner island you see above -

in the meantime, i know you'll save a place for me in your "happy place" -

later, friends -

Sometimes all we need is stillness. Wishing you peace & love. Blessings!

take good care of you, dear jenean and no worries about your blogs, they will be there when you return to them...no point in stressing over your loss for words...it is a sad time because of haiti , among all the rest of the ugliness in the world, and so anything seems frivolous in the face of that kind of tragedy...be peaceful in that lovely place of peace you have found for yourself...it is perfect♥

You need to go to this little island in the Bay des Ha! Ha! (its the bay's name in French, a gigantic 10 km long bay linked to the Saguenay River). Almost in the middle of nowhere, it's cut off from the rest of the world at high tide, quite a treat, total guaranteed solitude.

What a very tranquil picture. I hope you find the stillness you are looking for.
Despite not having anything to post about, this post is very poignant.

roger - thank you so much for telling me of such a perfect spot of sanctuary on the saguenay - i'm afraid, however, that i would be required to rely upon the kindness of strangers to make my way to this foreign land of such beauty -
:)
it does appear to be absolutely totally what the doctor ordered - thank you again!

stacey - you know, several people have said the exact thing - it - this feeling - seems to be with a lot of us right now - i'm sure at least in part due to the turmoil in haiti - and now i'm really trying to focus on light and love - and have received so much here, from you and the others - thank you so much!
