we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the first and last dance...

you say you cannot dance
but that’s impossible to believe
for in your sparkling eyes

your rhythmic spirit i perceive
i do not wish thee to deceive
so just one waltz of love
then take your leave
tis not forever that I seek
but just a night of sweet romance
won’t you please this time enhance
and come to me let me receive
your noble gesture your one last stance
to find your way for love conceived

beautiful words to go with a beautiful picture.

i often wondered if i missed out on the greatest love because...i wanted more. had i accepted it for what it was, maybe it could have lasted even longer. (a little off the beaten path) :)

such comforting and warm thoughts this post brings to mind.

This have a feel of the notion to "live and love in the moment". So important to remember at all times, as moments is all we really ever get.;)
Lovely.

and i so know what you mean, blue, truly i do - and words that strike a chord for many of us, i'm sure - well, for me, in any event - your thoughts remind me of that quote from the movie steel magnolias which is one of my all time favorite quotes which i try to live by - "i'd rather have thirty minutes of wonderful than a lifetime of nothing special" - well, i want my thirty minutes!!! again!!! ;)
'tis great to have you over, dear lady! please come again soon!

zuzana - yes, only the moment - THIS moment, do we have! and it's meant to be lived and loved!

If I may...

Dancing is not for love
Dancing is for seducing
Dancing is making love
Without meaning

Love is holding a woman
Wiping her tears of joy
Love is hugging a woman
Drying her tears of pain

Love is fighting for a woman
Protecting her against all

Above all...
Love is your woman playing music
And I listening with tears

Love is music

ah, man from the cold - and if i may, i must disagree, sir!!!

for i myself have danced with love i have danced in love i have held love in my arms as i danced i have made love in dance and i have been loved in dance just as i have loved in dance - i believe that no one is seduced without their full consent and desire - i have found meaning in dance when there was no meaning anywhere else - i have spoken words unsaid in dance and i have heard voices unknown in dance - i have danced in lust and lusted in life - i have cried tears of joy and tears of grief and pain in dance and in dance, have had those tears - the same tears wiped away with dance and with love - i too have had music played to me and music written for me - songs written for me about me and sung to me and in all their glorious lyrics and rhythms, i have danced - i have fought for love and i have been protected with love - i have loved - and i have been loved - i have danced many dances -

- what i am saying, sir, is that there are all kinds of dance, just as there exists all kinds of love

- and for all those who have not experienced the dance i know, i hope you dance!!!

Well, milady, you well may! And who would I be to dispute this? Who would I be indeed?

Maybe If I could dance... maybe if I could I would think otherwise... But I cannot not, so no woman ever won me with a dance.

I was won over in a single surprised look, struck down by the gaze of two startled eyes...

A few hours later those eyes were indeed dancing
An unsure hand over mine, and then they too were dancing! That was so long ago... and later I had to say no to a woman, and then still only with the eyes, because how can one say no in words without hurting?

The eyes...

Such a beautiful "dance" of poetry here and I simply love the classic expression.

Thank you for stopping by. I truly appreciate your kindness even though I can't reciprocate as much as I would like to these days but I'm always thankful.

Beautiful..simply beautiful!

I wish I could find someone like that..to whom I could just walk over to and dance with without a care in the world. Someone to share my passion with. Someone who treasures what we share, however short it may be.

Love
