we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

live the touch of red...

live the touch of red
live the touch
live the red
touch the red
touch life
let the red touch you
let it touch you
teach you
tamper you

let it teach you
red hot passion
burning churning
like a pit of fire
let it touch you
in your heart
in your mind
in your loins

let it tamper
your complacency
your contentment
tamper them into
temptation
let it tempt you
tempt you to
touch more
to taste more
to touch again
to touch life
to touch the red
to let the red
touch
you
tempt you
to

live
the
red

[this little verse came about as a result of a typo in a comment on another post - instead of typing "love the touch of red" about an image, i inadvertently typed "live the touch of red" - and those words triggered these you find here - enjoy!]

i love this image, too, trevor - isn't it divine! actually, i have used the work of this female artist only one other time - and then recently, had seen two other blogs with her work on them - anyway, this seemed perfect for this post, but i did crop a little just to give more emphasis to the "red" - thank you as always for such nice comments, trevor, all of which are more than appreciated -

Isn't it amazing how our imaginations are set off like that? We are such lucky creatures to have these minds that operate the way they do, and we just don't realize how lucky we are. I'm happy you made that typo, Jenean, as I'm sure you are too! ;-)

GW- sometimes when we don't know what we're saying, we're saying just what we should. I can't go the red. Too much. Ice green.

you know, nevine, i thought about it the moment i became aware of the typo - and knew that it was a grammatical glitch but not a psychic one - that it actually SAID what i MEANT - living the red is really what i do with my own life - what i think we should all be doing - living it touching it tasting it - all -

so true, rick - as i was just saying in the comment above - i know i was saying exactly what i wanted/needed to say! you're so right! but about the red and you, and "can't" - ??? - as i remember from childhood "can't never could" :)

too much? hmmmm...never enough!

green ice? hmmmm...too cold!

hey deb!!! wonderful to see you! you know, it's interesting about the red thing cause i've been thinking for several weeks that the next painting i do i want it to be a study in RED - not sure what yet - i alternate between an pure abstract - a sensual floral/abstract - or a woman dancin' in red - gee, i really really want to do all three - but i've only one 48x48 canvas left -

This is absolutely wonderful, sparkling with life, an intense feeling, which skips the read. A fantastic poem, I love it!

A lot of red kisses for you,

How is it that I have never checked this blog out! Very nice. You are talented! I love the words. I have been told red is my color, but personally only wear shades of it when I need to draw on it's intense energy. It does the trick though, and definitely sets the tone for the day!

Any thoughts on capturing some shots of your paintings and complementing them to your posts? I am sure I am not the only one eager to see them!

Have a great evening.

hi cole - well, i'm so glad you did find this blog - just look over in the sidebar in case you've missed one as i have several - thanks for visiting here - and especially for such kind words - about red, i always get really nice remarks when i wear red but rarely do wear it - the why i don't wear red is a long story for another time - but, i totally know what you mean - drawing on its energy - for real! and i'm betting red is definitely your color!!!

fabulous painting! and interesting how you get to your inspirations..often my art comes about much the same way, a blob, a drip and drop, a smear and coming back later to see alligators! :)

thanks for your always sweet and thought-full thoughts and comments, dear lady♥
