we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

where i've been the past few days -

yesterday

storm's beginning

UPDATE - SNOW PLOW CAME THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON - ONE SWIFT SWOOP - AT LEAST ABLE TO LEAVE DRIVE - CAREFULLY - MAYBE TOMORROW ;)

just to let you all know i've not been away by choice at all - we are in the midst of a huge blizzard with more than 2-1/2 feet of snow out our front door - a lot of people are without power but ours has remained on for which i am so grateful - however, have had no cable or internet or land phones until about an hour ago [since friday] - entire state shut down basically - we have managed to clear the drive to the street but the street remains under all the snow as state and private plows all under emergency use for keeping main roads open - no private developments/neighborhoods have been plowed yet and no one knows when they will be - good news is that sun was out all day yesterday and is out today - beautiful - bad news is that another foot or more of snow expected to hit tomorrow into all day wednesday in this area all the way over to dc and into pennsylvania, etc - oh, and other bad news - now running out of basic necessity kinds of supplies -

please send saint bernards - chocolate, fresh fruit and wine appreciated!

now off to check out all your wonderful places while i still can - see you there!

The snow is so beautiful. I'm sorry you've been snowed in, though. I hope the sun shines soon! Blessings!

oh, wonderful wonderful to see you, marion! yes, it is an absolute wonderland of beauty, truly - the main problem for today's world is that communications and transportation are so intrinsically linked to things beyond our control and when those things are impacted upon - everything stops - but - if we can get out between now and the next storm to re-stock on basics, that will be great - and our area is so lucky not to have lost power when lots and lots around us are still without that - anyway - a beautiful day with the sun out today - temps about 20 degrees F so not bad - thanks so much for coming by - been so "lonesome" without all of you!!!

I remember snow days...I did some time in New Jersey! ha I was sipping hot chocolate as I was reading about all your streets still without plowing...look deeper in that cupboard...crackers, odd bits of chocolate morsels..do you have neighbors to exchange food etc? This is an amazing storm throughout the eastern states...take care!

oh, hello there - so you "did some time in new jersey" - well - then you do know - yes, amazing all the little morsels one finds in such cases - however, i'm going to attempt a trip out tomorrow before the next batch comes in - one snow plow did come out this afternoon - but now a thick crust of ice on street - no sand or salt left behind - anyway - so grateful to have power - so many don't - thanks so much for note - every little bit helps :)
