we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the word dance...

the word dance
the love dance
dance of love
words of love
words are all we have
in this wordworld
we have created
where words slur
and blur
reality
penetrate infiltrate
our soul
pierce our heart
impale our body
oozing out a crimson tide
words heard words unheard
leaving both undeterred
words to dance to
to play to
to act to
to be to
to love to
to deceive and believe
to see and to feel
words to touch
and
to be touched by
to sway to
and be swayed by
ah, and your words
your words
tease and taunt
leaving me wanting more
rolling around over my tongue
sweating between my lips
searching seeking
finding their way down
into my soul
leaving distasteful all but
your
words

A tribute to "words" such powerful things.. they can mend and they can break...I love this piece!! and of course the picture..the passion of the spanish dance.. that needs no words at all!

Beautiful in image and words. There is nothing so publicly intimate than a dance. So much emotions and untold stories can be hidden in the movements.;)
Happy belated Valentines Day,

thank you zuzana - yes, the dance - love sanctioned by society - it's all about the movement - and "the look" -
and you, happy happy heart day!

Dear Jenean:
The sensuousness of the words and the image left me enthralled. Dance for me is one form of passion in action.

Watched 'Dirty Dancing' again yesterday. It exemplifies what you have written.

Joy and love always,
Susan

susan - so weird you mention dirty dancing - i almost used an image from that movie - actually, had it in the box and deleted it when i realized i had this one that i love so much! thank you for your kind words - you're so right - dance absolutely is passion in motion!

We are soul sisters, you see. Can't wait to meet you someday, somewhere. I see you everyday through your words but then the gypsy beyond these words would be a treat.

Sunshine and peace,
Susan
