we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the children speak...

come live inside my fettered dream
and hear the ancient voices sing

the cloven tongues of fire
do sit upon the blended choir

sounds of rushing mighty winds
the elder prophets now do send

the red orange orb embarked
turns now the day to darkest dark

and moonbeams bleed in random flight
their crimson silence in the night

on earth below the gods invoked
spew forth the blood the fire and smoke

and in these days of blackest nights
and nights beset with
radiant light

the children speak in words unknown
and with their visions all is shown

the day of knowledge fully come
the signs from heaven now are done

come sit beside the raging streams
and see the wonders of the ring

come live inside my fettered dream

your words do mean so much - thank you trish! i am glad you like!

thanks, stacey - it took a turn somewhere right after the second line and became something else - which is not unusual since i don't always have a fixed anything in my mind - this is one of those - the words just took on a life of their own and led me where they wanted to go! thanks so much for coming over!!

glad you like, linda - yes, i was kind of surprised at how it came out too - sobering - because i hadn't intended that - it just happened as the words grew - wonderful to see you over here, lady! have a glorious day!

The painting is what caught my attention! Simply amazing! So many colours yet the essence remains intact! Marvellous!

Although the poem starts on a note of impending doom, it changes course and becomes hopeful again!
Lovely!

This is simply awesome, Jenean. The rhythm... the rhyme... every word was beautiful and perfectly placed. And the image is such a complementary piece. Just fabulous!

thank you SO much, nevine! you know, sometimes things - words - thoughts - just come together by themselves - i was simply the instrument of the words here - the first two lines i'd had for a while and thought they were headed toward a love poem - but, as you can see, that is not the direction the words took us! ;)

Oh, Jenean...this has such a wonderful, lyrical quality...and exudes such mystery!! And I feel I have witnessed the work of oracles...something from ancient times! Extraordinary! ~Janine XO

so glad you like, dear janine! it just sort of came out of nowhere - i began the first few words in one direction but then the words themselves took themselves and me toward another destination - funny how words can take on a life of their own - i know you know of what i speak - thanks so much for coming by! love having you over!
