we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the attraction...

whatever relationships you have attracted
in  your life at this moment
are precisely the ones
you need in your life at this moment -
there is a hidden meaning
behind all events and
this hidden meaning is
serving your own
evolution

this was previously posted at the travel journal but it seemed fitting here today!  enjoy!

Wonderful reminder, especially today, for me. :)
So, so true!

isn't this image magnificent, susan! one of my all time favorites - and a picasso, to boot! i think this message is one that serves us each and every day - particularly, for me, right now - so glad you enjoyed - and so happy to see you again!

hey terri - as i was saying to susan above, a wonderful reminder for me, too, especially today! so happy you found it, as well!

Picasso showed Les Demoiselles d'Avignon to many of his closest friends and most discriminating patrons, but the painting was so revolutionary that even these members of the avant-garde were stunned and uncomprehending. Not surprisingly, therefore, it was not publicly exhibited for years. But Picasso was not to be diverted from his chosen path, and Three Women, though more conventionally harmonious as a composition, is in most respects as shocking as the Demoiselles.
Apart from the masklike heads, evidently suggested by African sculptures, the all-pervasive redness and the radical simplifications (for example, the spade-like hand of the figure on the left) still have the power to disconcert. So have the uplifted arms, which belong to a pose that is by tradition sexually inviting, but here, as in Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, takes on a curiously perfunctory, ritual quality.

It is an amazing realization, especially when you try to convince yourself you had nothing to do with the present moment...yeah!! It is also humbling when you can accept the lessons so lovingly given. Your words are true to the bone!

hello there blue sky! how wonderful to have you drop by - there is so much truth in your comment - it is truly an amazing realization when we attempt to disregard our own contributions to our life - in all respects - but if one can understand that and accept it in the most literal sense, then, what a magnificent gift we have been given - for now and all eternity -

You may well be right, dear you. But then you may not. Relationships, love, and Live in general are often a matter of luck. Bad luck more than a few times...

Just imagine the case of a woman that is not blessed with Beauty. I know some wonderful women reduced to solitude... is that fair? Of course not, and Life is never fair.

One of my favorite images and your words are spot on.

oh, but, roger, you see, for me, there is no such thing as "luck" - we attract that which we want or need at any given time - if, in fact, one finds oneself without love, then it can only be because the heart itself and not the face is unwilling and unacceptable - don't you see? ;)

well, you know trish, with chopra AND picasso, one cannot be anything else! but i thank you!

my dear warden - hmmmm.....fine art connoisseur and connoisseur of fine food - why am i not surprised? when i am not so disadvantaged by the rigors of the day as i am now, i should be delighted to pass time with you in deeper dialogue of both items, should you be so inclined! until then -

don't you see?

I do envy you, gypsy woman. Because in truth I do not... and this of course proves nothing. I'm losing track, the horizon is falling, and I can't stand anymore. Can't stand it either...

... sorry. I should not bother you with such things. You're a wonder, go on writing. I may not read you as often, my head is a mess, coherent thought more and more difficult. Let your mind soar free, Jenean! Free forever! Mine won't ever be again. Not enough time...

but roger, do you not know, too, that you and your thoughts are never a "bother" to me? time is but an illusion, just an illusion, yours to form, to shape, make it yours, roger, forever! and don't leave, please!
