we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the choice...

On this narrow planet,
we have only the choice
between two unknown worlds.
One of them tempts us -
ah! what a dream, to live in that! -
the other stifles us at the first breath!

Maybe, gypsy woman, barely maybe...

I've rather the choice between two known worlds, one that I hate, the other that I despise. What's happening to Human Nature?

On Words Unspoken, you speak about lips, beautiful lips, apparently now useless. What a depressing thing to say... but too often true! Lips made for tempting, lips to be stolen, lips to be lost.

You remember those other beautiful lips, so tender, so young, but already made for love! Some narrow-minded people made them disappear and they will never come back, I swear.

Some day she will get free and offer those lips again... and suffer.

Where is the world I would want to live in? A world where what I do would be a teeny tiny bit more than nothing... She took my muse when she was taken away, and I mourn.

Happy days, sweet Jenean.

To squeeze the essence of the beauty of existence. Beautiful quote. I adore these verses, they give so much.

i am so sorry for your profound hurt in all that, roger - it is especially made so difficult because it involves those you love and that hurt is always the most destructive in so many ways - but - the girl will grow into adulthood and in that growth will develop her own view of right and wrong and love and hurt - and she will know, as i am sure she does even now, that you saw such beauty in her that had to be shared with the world - and she will be grateful and honored at your commitment to that - in the meantime, i am happy to see that you are doing other work now - tinged as some are, however, still, with your sadness - and i am always happy to see you here - by one of my campfires - oh, and of the lips in words unspoken - ah, yes, what good those lips now! ;)
