we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

on nights of golden moon...

.
.
.
the road may call your name
but i still whisper it
on nights of golden moon

i keep it in my box
of things that mean the most
and take it out at times

to hold it to my lips
to savor it once more
as if each time the last

and in my heart i sing

loves sweetest song to you
the one that calls your name
so i can whisper it
on nights of golden moon

so i can whisper it
.
.
.
.
.
.
last night i had a dream and in that dream
came someone for whom these words were written some time ago
- and i still call his name on nights of golden moon -
and think i always will
.
.

This is great, do you ever do audio blogs? I just got the microphone and software to upload audio files and I can't wait to do one.
Cheers, Sausage...
ps. I would love to hear one of your pieces voiced

you and i do seem to have walked the same path more than once, zuzana - thank you so much for dropping by my world - hope yours is treating you tenderly! :)

well, sausage, your comment is incredible because just yesterday, i was thinking that very thing - that i should do audio on at least some of my pieces - but i am SO NOT high-tech oriented and had no idea as to where to start even so i'd planned to start googling it to see with what to start first - and now, here you are, in answer to my questions!

so - what kind of microphone did you get, if i might ask? and then, software? have you gotten yours all together yet? any suggestions, advice, etc, greatly appreciated -

but most of all, thank you so much for your always kind comments here -

have you been over to my "words unspoken" blog - it contains nothing but pieces i wrote myself - you might enjoy browsing there sometime! ;)

have a great florida day!

Gypsy, I really like this very much. Such deep, private emotions that resurface, not alone, but triggered even more deeply by the fullness and glory of sister moon. LOVE IT! I really enjoyed your post above this one as well. I have read it before, no? Either way it is quite beautiful. There is a full moon out tonight. Enjoy your evening.

P.S. I have heard Willow's blog use the sound bite for reading a poem, she must have an app for that. I immediately thought how cool! But yes, I agree a little extra surprise such as that would be enjoyable.

oh, dearest cole - how absolutely wonderful to see you again and to have you leave a little note - thank you! yes, you have read both these before - this one and the one above - i could not help but re-post for several reasons, one of which is that this one was written for someone in particular and he has been on my mind very mightily these past few days AND the full moon rises! double whammy - and the piece above was over at words unspoken but seemed to just want to be over here tonight - again, special message, i guess - thank you for your kind words, lady!

i'll check out willow's place and online as well - and sausage seems to be working on his audio project, as well - so perhaps i'll be able to add this little feature which i've wanted to for some time -

have a fabulous full-moon night, dear lady!!!
