we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

in silent slumber...

in silent slumber soft
from love held aloft
my heart hears the secrets
of my days and of my nights
secrets red like garnets
glistenin’ in the light
and longs to touch
the naked ghosts of my dreams

to ne'er let go its clutch
of all those soundless screams

and
you

.

Hearing your voice and your soft accent (where from? somewhere in the south?)makes this so very intimate. Lovely. My favourite image is "secrets red like garnets." Secrets do burn, hot and bright,in the darkness, don't they.

thanks so much, louciao - i really like having audio with my pieces so it's gratifying to know others do as well - oh, yes, southern through and through although i've lived all over the country - i was born in washington state but consider the south - louisiana - my home - and of secrets, yes, red like garnets - that dark red kind - but is there any other? ;)

I love that image, too. Secrets like red garnets. I bet your home is decorated in reds.

wv: thersts - thirsts?

odd how our memories lock away little things - and then just one little word will trigger recall - like just now, when i read your comment, trish - although the word garnet had already been used several times above, just as i read your "secrets like red garnets" did i have a flashback of a gorgeous gorgeous dark red garnet ring i used to have - in a white gold setting - a huge magnificent solitaire stone - and today i've no idea what happened to it - it was lost in time until i read your line - many many years since i've seen it - anyway - oh, and, actually, no, not a lot of reds except in my bedroom - where i use red touches - mostly earth tones with a lot of black and dark dark natural woods - golds and oranges accents -
i love the wv here - thirsts -

At first I thought it really was silent and with the volume right up I could barely hear it. My fault I'm sure.
At least I could read it. Thank you:)

oh, dear goodness, pat! i'm so sorry for your trouble - from here, there's no volume problem - however, i don't have the most sophisticated equip at all - far from it - it's actually the most basic but i'd thought it was sufficient - again, my apologies - do hope you enjoyed the words nevertheless! and thanks so much for coming so far to visit! ;)

you know, naomi, i was just wondering when i read your comment, as to why i chose garnets rather than rubies - just something about the sound and the feel of "garnets" - so lovely to have you come by and i thank you!
