we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

a land without time...

it was a land without time
a land before time
the land of shifting time
shifting lines
shifting paradigms

the land in between
this time and that time

cast off yesterdays

had come to stay
on this mean solar day
of stars gone astray
in this land without time
this land sublime

this piece was written 08/23/11 while sitting in the sunshine at a local state park as my grandchildren played - about noon i had a very ominous feeling and all i wanted to do was get us home - so we left the park - i was on the computer typing this piece when what is being touted as the virginia earthquake shook our house and our world an hour or so after leaving the park -

FANTASTIC. THE IMAGE IS UNSETTLING.

thanks so much trish - yes, i thought this piece of dali's was perfect for the poem - although when i wrote the poem sitting at a beautiful lush rural state park, i did not have a mental image at that time - which is unusual for me - but all i could think of right as i finished writing was getting the heck out of there with the kids - just a godawful feeling of "something" and all i wanted to do was get them "home" - of course, within an hour or so of getting home, the floors and walls of that home played ocean waves - an unsettling day -

Jenean, I can't begin to tell you just how this poem struck me. Beyond disturbed, I feel shaken by the truth inside these words. Having read your comments, all I can say is that there is wisdom, always, in trusting our instincts... they NEVER lie!

so true about trusting one's instincts - our inner voice always knows best - this was a very unsettling day in so many ways, august 23 - not the least of which was this piece which just came about as i sat in the beautiful sunshine on a blue sky day - thanks so much for coming by nevine! your visits mean a lot!

You were certainly getting some advance vibrations! The earth is always shifting somewhere, strange how I'm noticing it more these days. We felt your earthquake all the way out here in Ohio.

hello, lady butternut! yes, a weird day from the beginning - and i'm so glad i had both my little grandchildren with me so that they were not at daycare when the quake hit us - they were both terrified, having seen such horror from media sources of other eq's - you're right about the earth shifting and seemingly more and more frequently of late - so great to have you come by -
