we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the shadow bird...

the shadow bird flies

through moonlit skies

casting softly his spell

on those burning in hell

can he not forgive

those souls who do live

one life at a time

regardless their crime

Shadow bird. What an evocative image, Gypsy. It speaks of that shadow world that breathes beneath every day reality. Really lovely, this one.

yes, trish, this image is amazing - just something about it that speaks of so many things - this is one of the cases where i saw the image and then wrote the words -

And your words fit so well the feeling, the message is sending
... sometimes we do get hurt and those who are hurting us,are not aware...but there's a time when all comes back,,, there's a time when we forget and forgive... there's a time when we find our freedom, away from the pain...
So so so Beautiful!

Such a pleasure to read your words!have a lovely week my dear friend!xoxoxox

And it has a faintly spooky feel that fits the time of year.

lady spider - so glad you like this little piece - it was a weird day/time that i wrote this piece - i remember thinking i had no clue from whence such ominous-almost words came - but like most of my little verses, that is usually the case - i very rarely know the whys of the words - in any event, it was a bit disconcerting in the beginning with this piece because i felt a sense of foreboding with it - but now i am able to see its beauty more clearly - and its message of salvation/redemption - so wonderful to have you visit - your words always touch my heart - and i thank you -

Wow, powerful and dark words. Perfect for autumn and Halloween!
I'm sure I can see shadow birds in moonlit skies in my garden.
The photo compliments your poem really well.

I hope life is good, gypsy. I have moved and landed again... It's good to be back blogging!

Many blessings to you!
Jo.
