we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

and all is done...

autumn comes
and all is done
lifeless leaves loose their grip
falling now for that final trip
swept to the shore by whispers of dreams
float away in swirls blue and green
soft subtle shadows rush to the night
calling your name in love's lost light
and so many memories of you
what am i to do
autumn comes
and all is done
.

Very nice Gypsy! I love how it changes from the season and the leaves fading, to the memories of him. Unexpected but very nice. The poem has a "feeling" to it. I don't know what kind of feeling, but I like tangible writing. Have a pleasant evening.

Yes, autumn is here in Rome too. Beautiful words and impressive pictures. You have a way with words that is really captivating!

dear lovelylinda! yes, it has been a while and i've so missed both you and your pony! ;) it seems there is always something else afoot here - life getting in the way - of my being in and about blogland as much as i would like! and so it is with you, too, i know - so i'm especially grateful for your visit now - and my heart thanks you! come again when you can - and until then, know that you and yours are in my thoughts - hugs, lady!

greetings cole! well, it's all about feeling, isn't it - what we do what we say what we don't do and say - so i thank you for your words here - for me, everything changes or doesn't change to memories of him - and will always be so, i imagine - and in those rare fleeting mini-seconds when it isn't, my heart feels as if it's been unfaithful - somehow -

Autumn used to make me inexpressibly sad but it was always the favourite time of a dear friend and through her I have come to appreciate its beauty.

oh, hello there pat - so wonderful to see you - i know what you mean - it's a beautiful time to me, in terms of the colors and the shadow that seems to cover the sun on autumn days - and a touch of chill breezing by - but, much to my dismay, i also see it as that bearer of cold dark winter - of dark and death - partly because of so many tragic events in my life taking place in winter months i suppose - in any event, it is a beautiful time on the planet - if one only looks for beauty - thanks for that reminder -
