we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the jagged terrain...

he comes from a place far away
a place where night is day
and day brings no light
like a devil's dark blight
where love’s gone astray
and can't find its way
a place where barren is the land
like pearls of a broken strand
and cross the mountains deep
windswept tears sweep
the jagged terrain
like a ragin’ train

yes, he comes
from a place
far away

he comes
from
my
heart

he
comes
to
me

he
comes
for
me
.
.
.

Wow. This one is powerful. I had to study the images for a moment. It looks like swirls of a woman's long, beautiful hair.
The WV o this one? hopee...hope

Jenean, the way you have set up your words between those images is simply luscious!!! I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this piece... its juxtaposition of darkness and light... and the burn of tears amidst a harsh terrain. Simply beautiful!!!

hi trish - you know, i always love hearing what others see/hear in what i do - you saw a woman's long hair here [that never occurred to me] and i see a heart - an open heart open in layers - i mean, i really cannot "see" anything else! sort of like the face in the vase kind of thing isn't it - another little full moon muse working on this one and i confess i do love it! and the image with it - thanks so much for your own kind words, as always!

greetings sir alex! how great to see you over this way - seems i'm so behind in my own visits for a while - so i especially am grateful for others coming by my humble abode here - in any event, thank you so much - you certainly do have a lot going on in your world of late - i do come by and play catch up on reading when i can and there are always so many wonderful and exciting things at your blog! have a wonderful friday!

dear nevine - thanks so much for your words - i love playing with images and words and seeing what other statement or reinforcement can be had by doing that - i'm SUCH a visual person which makes it just mandatory that i have images and they need to complete the words - and of the words, again, a case of those voices speaking through my fingertips here - a full moon weaving of words - so glad you liked, dear friend! hope all is well in your world!
