we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

slices of time...

 shards of time
slice through these
memories of mine
with all those
crystalline dreams
now swept downstream

leavin’ behind
pieces of me
broken and blue
missin’ you

I got so excited to see a poem from you, Jenean. Beautiful, haunting as always xo ~ glynis

oh, glynis - your comment just made my day! thank you so much! haven't done a lot of new pieces in a while - i used to do at least one a day - sometimes several a day - but seems my focus has been directed in other places for some time - anyway, again, all my thanks, lady! love your "battle cry and midnight moons" - beautiful!

How sad!

sad, in some ways, true...however, having had love such as that...wonderful! ;) and so great to have you drop by and leave a note - i seem to be still a bit unfocused from my former blogging and miss my friends much! ;)

As always, just beautiful. And it's so nice that your muse is cooperating and that you're back after such a long hiatus!

Dearest Jenean,

I've so missed the beauty and poignancy of your words. What a touching tribute to what we hold dearest to our hearts. So lovely to sit inside the surrender of this...

Warm hugs to you,

Nevine

my muse seems to be MIA as much as it is present and accounted for still, trish - but i'm grateful for the muse-moments i do have!

missing is such a powerful and somewhat draining emotion. remembering is better, but it is also difficult not to miss what we love and is gone

GYPSYWOMAN said...

so true - memories may it possible to move forward...

You say much with a few words. I guess, though, that without time we wouldn't have those memories - and that would be even sadder.

GYPSYWOMAN said...

oh, thank you so much for coming by mike - and for your kind words - as for memories...yes, if not for them, no warmth in the winter of loss -

Muse, where are you? I need my gypsy fix!

Very dear Jenean… But where are you?

I do miss you, la Gitane. I'm coming back to the blogs only to find you slowly going away. And I'm sad.

This wonderful new house is silent in the middle of the night. Silent, except for Shostakovich pulsating through the sound system that is. Except for that…

Must I beg you to come back?

With love,

Roger

i know, trish, and so do i!!! need my fix!!! ;)

i think the muses here have moved to a new home - a more modern one - new beginnings - their work here is done - perhaps - so once we all get in our "new place" things will be swingin' as usual! ;)

and dear roger - no - please don't be sad - i am not gone - just in a different place now - and trying to find my way in this new place - but a part of my heart will always remain - here - in the wordworld we created - it's wonderful to have you back - and i am always humbled by your words -
