we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

shadow dance...

night winds etched your face
into the far side of the moon
and shadow birds danced
on waters of broken promises
last chances and
what could
have been

as the sun singed your heart
into the star-filled skies
and shadow birds danced
on clouds of discontent
dysphoria and
what could
have been

and the storm spun your soul
into the deep dark abyss
as shadow birds danced
on the edge of the cliff

and the winds etched
and the sun singed
and the storm spun

you
away

as

shadow birds
danced

on my

love’s grave

Very powerful - the echo of love that's gone.

many thanks for the kind words alex - perhaps love just no longer expressed - but then, that does mean it's gone - at least somewhere else, doesn't it? - so lovely to have you drop by!

Did you think that I would not find you? Even if you deserted that special unspoken place, saying that you had nothing more to say, or sing, or shout…

But I found you from faraway
Your words still as beautiful as ever
Yearning for a love long gone

But isn't this the reality of Life? We've all got a raw deal down here, a very raw deal I tell you...

And one of those days I will shout you those very words from my own grave, that's how it is...

I wonder… I wonder how cold I will feel in my own grave, away from my love of always, away from my friends, away from you. Colder than this -30° night, I don't know, don't really bother.

A very raw deal, I tell you… Can cold eyes be shivering?

Roger

the beautiful phrases almost dispels the sadness.

You're back! Is their acceptance in this beautiful poem?

dear roger - but i have not gone away - and my heart thanks you for your kind kind words - and it's cold here as well, with temps hovering at about 2degrees F today - just remember, with the winter, spring cannot be far behind - and with the spring, the flowers come - i miss seeing your beautiful images of those glorious flowers there - in the meantime, though, i do come by your place and visit to see what you've been up to - it's always a ray of sunshine for me -

Can you double post stuff from magazine? Love the piece on shadows you did for them!

It's always very sad when a love ends. You captured the pain Gypsywoman! Happy New Year dear, I haven't forgotten you!

trish - the cold has my brain chilled so i'm not quite sure what you're asking??? ;)

the magazine post is just a compilation of 3 pieces done at different times - with shadow dance done last week or so - and the other 2 done maybe even a couple of years ago - they are all on my blogs - YM does not retain copyright on pieces submitted to them, according to their site -

please let me know if i've not answered what you're asking - so sorry to be so dull today! ;)

and many thanks - so glad you liked -

I do see acceptance in this piece, or at the very least awareness that it's gone
