leavin’ behind all that glistenin’ glass
relics of dreams from the past
then those rollin’ waves wash on in
lappin’ up my life-long sins
lettin’ me free to begin ag’in
but love don’t come easy to this broken heart
wantin’ nobody but you right from the start
relics of dreams from the past
then those rollin’ waves wash on in
lappin’ up my life-long sins
lettin’ me free to begin ag’in
but love don’t come easy to this broken heart
wantin’ nobody but you right from the start
the tide swept upon the shore
leavin’ life empty forevermore
leavin’ life empty forevermore

Very tragic. Empty with the memories and empty without.
I love it when your muse returns, even with something as sad and beautiful as this one.
I like the idea of the rolling waves lapping up all our misdeeds.
empty...without him...
hi alex! thanks so much for taking the time to come by - especially for your insightful comment! hope you've a wonderful day in ninjaland! ;)
many thanks trish - now if only my muses would stick around a bit more! i think they are wanting to finish up that 2nd manuscript so they can move forward - and that's how i feel as well! ;)
if it were it only possible, pat...if it were only possible!
Can you bring your magazine posts forwars?
very sad but very nicely done. One of my favorites
You should post your magazine pieces here, too, after a couple of days!
trish - have been trying to figure out just how to do that...or start a new blog of nothing but yareah posts...thanks for suggestion...any ideas on the "how" of it all?
Are you allowed to use those poems after they appear on your blog? That would be the simplest thing.
you mean after they appear on yareah? if so, then, the answer is yes - the author retains all copyrights of their works on Y - sorry to be just now responding - your comment got lost in a batch of spam stuff!
I hear this!!! Oh My....The Pain,
how absolutely wonderful to have you come by, dear naomi! thank you so very much! i'm so sorry for my own absence from blogland for so long but... anyway, just great to hear from you - and i thank you - so glad you liked this little piece - and yes...pain...but beautiful in having had at all that which can no longer be...i know you know what i mean! ;) xxx
