we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

lost at sea...

thunder on the mountain
fire down below
storm clouds
in my

days turn to nights and
nights turn to hell
nothing been
the same

in the oceans of
your eyes
the depth
of which

sucked down deep in
the currents strong
lookin’ at you
was what

Love can certainly be painful. Ocean and fire...perfect allegories.

You always find an entrance into an motion, Gypsy. That's what your weird critic, a man, didn't understand. That's your gift, your strength, your genius. That passion.

your kind words never fail to inspire and to humble, trish - and i'm so grateful for that - but i cannot lay claim to strength or genius because what i write is just that which is me - i simply know no other way - thanks ever so much for your everything! ;)

That's what makes it so special.

That's supposed to be "an emotion." I type too fast. Just re-read this and it's just as lovely in the reread as the first time around.

oh, thank you so much pat! ;)

i knew what you meant, trish! ;)
thank you very much!

Wonderful poetry, dear Gitane.

You know, this is why I tell myself never to look too deep in a woman's eyes, it's too dangerous...

It's much safer to photograph her. And then I give her the eyes and look I thought I saw, or I think she should have, or whatever.

What do you make of that? Remember this young girl I photographed recently? I added three years to her, she's gonna have those troubling eyes I'm sure. She already has, so young. She is a friend, and I will protect her as much as I can, even against her own mother.

I'm blabbing...

It's been a long time since I wrote here, sorry. And I'm going to France next Tuesday. I will think of you.

how wonderful to hear from you again, roger - as always - of course, i remember the beautiful young girl - she is very lucky to have a friend such as you - and you're right about eyes - it can be a very dangerous place to find one's self depending upon the circumstances - however, it is the place of truth...so off to france again - and i'm jealous again - how exciting for you all - i know how you love it there - and i'm glad i'll be along at least for a bit of the trip, in your thoughts - and then, all those magnificent images you'll bring back - have a glorious time - and many thanks for dropping by here -
