we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the sea the sea...

Behold the Sea,
The opaline,
the plentiful and strong,
Yet beautiful as is the rose in June,
Fresh as the trickling rainbow of July;
Sea full of food,
the nourisher of kinds,
Purger of earth, and medicine of men;
Creating a sweet climate by my breath,
Washing out harms and griefs from memory,
And, in my mathematic ebb and flow,
Giving a hint of that which changes not.

Jenean:

I can understand when you talk so much about the sea. Everything is connected.

The clear waters are indication of how lovely things are when left alone. But only time will tell us if our seas will remain like the description by Emerson. Given today's oil spill and other things, I wonder . . .

Joy always,
Susan

i think it's crucial to focus on the beauty of the water - we know that we have the power to change the physical world with out thoughts...i'm thinking beautiful blue green waters and pristine sandy beaches........

thanks so much for coming by lovelylinda!

so true, ed, that the sea is alive - and the giver of so much to us all - it must be divine to be able to plunge into her these days - there where she is still vibrant and healthy - i just watched a youtube video of the pensacola beaches that are "bubbling" as if they are literally boiling - very very sad - so is that from the acid off the oil or from the methane gas underground or from both or what? - such an incredibly sad commentary on the inhabitants of our planet!

Hi Gypsywoman,
You visited my blog some time ago, and now I am visiting yours. Forgive me if I am late in returning your invitation - life has been stretched this last year for me. This little photo of the sea makes me yearn to return to my long ago place beside the sea - it was a magical place I should never have left - and keep thinking there must be someway to return before I am beyond recognizing myself!
I've very much enjoyed visiting your blog - I like your words - and give me thoughts to contemplate!
Thank you,
Olivia

okay - now you know I am no computer whiz! Didn't mean to leave two comments - the insane computer told me to - I swear!

Okay - this is embarrasing - just ignor me and I'm sure I will quietly go away!

Now was that beautiful or was that beautiful?

The sea has a way of lulling my soul. Of washing away all my troubles and make them seem trivial in this journey of life which holds so much more than a few secrets.
Loved it!

Much love,
Deboshree
