we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the naked man...

the naked man
now with me stands

shed of his fears
from all his years
living in the cold
aged but not old
disrobed of all save for his words
waiting only to be heard
and his shattered heart
tattered and torn apart
longing to be made whole

the naked man
now with me stands

in my soul i will him hold

"A woman's heart is an ocean of secrets" says Rose in 'Titanic.' Wonder if I substitute "heart" with "soul" will the essence change.

Jenean, nice to see more of your passionate verses. Hope you are well within and outside.

Much love,
Susan

and dear dear map! i can hardly wait to hear what i know must be a magnificent voice! and i'm so excited just anticipating what little goodies you might be singing! and aren't you just the sweetest thing - to sing AND offer to bring wine! my goodness! such a refined man you are! but all that matters really is that you come join the celebration! can't wait to see you!

J-this is what everyone gets wrong. He doesn't want his heart made whole. His bareness and brokenness is what makes him beautiful. Without it, you wouldn't have noticed him, wanted to hold him. Lovely though

oh, but i forgot about the naked man - actually, i've suggested that he wear a bit more than just his birthday suit to my birthday celebration - but he's stubborn - so we'll see - well, i'm trying NOT to have everyone "seeing"!

touche' rick! touche'! point very well made! you are absolutely right! but sometimes the words just don't work that way - well, for me, and for me today, anyway! :)

wonderful to have you come by again - your presence is missed when you're on the road so much!

My God, woman!

You're trying to shatter my eighth fence or what?

i'm glad... I'm glad because I am old but not aged. I'm glad because my heart is sometimes torn apart but not shattered, hardened from all those years living in the bitter cold.

I've come out of last Winter hardened and disillusioned.

Ma chère Jenean
c'est à ton tour
de te laisser parler d'amour...

In Québec, we don't sing "Happy birthday". Of course not... What you see above are the first words of what we sing to a loved one for his/her birthday!

Life is full of weird photographs done recently by yours truly! Woohoo...
