we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

silent night...

the
maidens ate the poisoned fruit
given them by tongues made mute
and know not then their act imputes
the hiding of the sacred flute

the waters rampant they do run
through the night and to the sun
and in their rage the deed is done
the evil web now is spun

and if the earth should quake and shake
the gods reject and do forsake
and if of knowledge they partake
the virgins left they burn at stake

now the raging rivers sweep away
all the signs of those who stay
there is no hope for them who pray
the gods are gone from these last days

the tiger roars its ancient cries
as prophets shout from burning skies
and angels float to their demise

now silent those who are to die

now silent
all
.
.

End of times?

you know, nancy, i do not always know from whence cometh the words i write - i truly do not - as with this piece, they [the words] just came as streamofconsciousness - a pouring-out of words and when this happens, it's as if they [the words] cannot wait - they have to "come out" - many times, i've pulled over on the side of the road to scribble them down when this happens - a lot of my pieces come to me as i'm driving - actually, probably most of them - whether of the universe or of love or of whatever - weird, really - i remember one day, i'd taken my little notebook out of the car for some reason and i didn't have even a napkin in the car on which to write whatever it was that i need to write at that moment so i pulled into a drive through window at a bank and asked for a deposit slip so i could write! but, i digress in trying to answer your question - the answer is i don't know what some pieces mean - the words come to me from somewhere else - the meaning then becoming individualized even more so than usual -

thanks so much for coming by, dear friend! your visits are cherished!

I feel the end of times with this stream of words. But then... I think it just might be my mindset today. I woke last night with very dreadful dreams of doom...only to wake to the global consciousness ball glowing red this morning. Later heard of the quake in Spain...
Our weather here in Illinois has been strange...very hot and humid, much like what you'd expect if living down south. Even though i don't think it will be the end of times...I think it might be the end of times as we know it.
