we all are gypsies of a sort wandering traveling through this life other lives space and time here there and yon on roads less traveled - this is a written and visual journal of my own travels - imagined and/or real - come along with me - we'll dance among the stars under the sun and over the moon - share our stories around the campfire - come along -

this site is simply a streamofconsciousness rambling of words and images in which i find meaning and beauty - there is no organized order of thought or format -
poetry painting and writing on love and life and things thereof from the heart and through the eyes of a louisiana gypsy spirit travelin' roads less traveled...enjoy -

THE GYPSYWOMAN WORLD

My photo
A...WOMAN IN MOTION WITH HAIR AS DARK AS NIGHT HER EYES WERE LIKE THAT OF A CAT IN THE DARK... SHE WAS A GYPSYWOMAN... she danced round and round... from the fire her face was all aglow... she was dancing... dancing... waiting for the RISING SUN... loving caring relationships are like THE RISING SUN...we are nourished by their warmth...we are energized by their strength...we grow in their light...we find shelter and solace there...they are our sanctuary... born in the sign of the sun, i am a true LEO-love the sun and its hot orange red fire-passionate in and about everything i do-i believe in instant chemistry charisma love/lust at first sight-in the magic of the eyes and the beauty of the soul-in the instant recognition familiarity in meeting someone from a past life and in the knowledge that we might meet in a future life-i believe that we are each ageless and flawless-i believe in the beauty of the moment-the whisper of yesterday-the hope of tomorrow-the power of forgiveness for even ourselves-the absolute and total beauty of love---[credit to brian hyland and curtis mayfield]

the feast...

emerging from his deep abyss
the slimy serpent raised its head
he sought her out upon her bed
and with a hiss and lingering kiss

upon her breasts he dared to feast
for her life he cared the least
he searched for her in times of need
to satisfy his own love’s greed
on her bosom he did suck
in a lustful frenzy all amuck
into her beating heart he did bite
with all his vigorous might

his tongue embarked to do his will
until at last he’d gained his fill
but what he could not see
through his lascivious glee

beneath her bounteous flesh
was the bottomless hole
of her stone cold soul
where his own heart she would enmesh

what he sowed so did he reap
as he gurgled his last in her blackest deep
for his dying soul she did not weep
in her he had found the primal beast

her
turn
to
feast

I loved this piece, Jenean! It's so primordial and filled with unpolished lust. Just perfect, and I loved your choice of words. A spiral...

oh, and there you are dear nevine! have been wondering of you in the midst of my being offline so much recently - thanks so much for coming by - your words always inspire me so and i cherish your kind ones here!

Such raw and spooky verse. I just liked the way it ended.

Hope all is well, dear Jenean.

Joy always,
Susan

Love the ending. This really is primordial, visceral. Beautiful.

Hot, hot, hot!!! I tried to read this a couple times, and each time had to change screens because one of my kids was behind me viewing my screen....Can't let them see.. mom actually enjoying reading these wonderful verses....they'd be saying ewhh...mom...you read that kind of stuff. Kids are so weird... even as adult kids and I mean that in the best way. They forget their mom is a real woman. Thanks for the verses to remind me. Seriously...love reading your hot primal stuff.
Hope you're having a wonderful weekend...and it is literally hot here...90's the rest of the week upcoming. Hope you're keeping cool.
love and hugs,
karen

oh, dear lady in the pool room - how absolutely wonderful of you to drop by - and to leave such kind words of your own - about the feast of the beasts here, we all have a bit of the beast in us, i think - so glad you liked - again, thanks so much for dropping by and i hope to see you again soon - have a wonderful remainder of the day there in sunny CA!

GYPSYWOMAN said...

karen, that is TOO funny - and i can just see you, clicking frantically when you hear one of them approaching from behind you as you sit at your screen! my own adult kids just had to get over all that stuff with me - i've been a single mom most of their lives and have never been very mild or meek so they all got good therapists if and when needed! ;) well, in terms of temperature weather-wise, it actually is a gorgeous day with stretches of big clouds off and on and a wonderful breeze - warm - about 85 - so not too bad - when i went out earlier today i opened the sunroof and all the windows and it was just perfect - course, i love the heat and the wind blowing so i was good to go - you have a great remainder of the weekend, too! later -

Scary and exciting!

The accompanying artwork is fantastic as well!

well, how nice of you to drop by, blazng! thought you might like this little piece! thanks so much for your kind words - when it comes to dark and darker, von stuck is the artist to go with - i've used this particular painting of his numerous times in different ways and it never fails to move me - thanks again -

You amaze me! This is such a dark reality, but then such a truth...
Beautiful and dangerously real.

Trish said...

Weird, I thought I commented on this! Love the rawness, the passion. Nica would love it too!

GYPSYWOMAN said...

a dark reality, yes, as is much of life and love, is it not - and sometimes, just sometimes, there is light at the end of that dark reality tunnel - at least perhaps for one of the people involved - perhaps - thank you so much, magic - it's so overwhelmingly wonderful to have my feeble words touch another -

GYPSYWOMAN said...

oh, and you did, trish! but it's double the honor to have you come back with these words which i love - raw and passion - and this is one of those totally inspired by our beloved nica, for which i shall always be obliged! thank you - and nica and ben!

Trish said...

Glad you're back! Hope all is well.

GYPSYWOMAN said...

hey trish - yes - back - verizon finally figured out it was one of their main power boxes that was out - leaving our phone and internet out as well all these days -
ok otherwise -

took me a couple of reads. I am a poor amateur at poetry, but do enjoy yours. I particularly liked what he sowed so did he reap. We eventually get what we put out there. It eventually catches up to us.

GYPSYWOMAN said...

oh, never fear, dear lady, it sometimes takes me a couple of reads as well, to grasp a piece once i've written it! ;) so happy to have you come by!
